Religious Education

In RE we aim to help children understand religious beliefs and the lives of different religious groups.  We bring religion to life with lots of practical experiences and learn about the values people have and how these impact on how their lives are led.

Each RE topic begins with the children considering a Shared Human Experience, something each of us can relate to such as special people in our lives.

We then learn about the Beliefs and Values and the Religious Traditions which are usually  practised when living life according to the religion we are finding out about at that time.

Finally, the children have the opportunity to explore their Personal Values, religious or non-religious, and how these are evident in their own lives. This covers aspects such as being kind and caring to others.

We follow the Agreed Lancashire Syllabus.
