Computing

At Holland Moor, we take great pride in our teaching of Computing across the Primary phase.

We place great emphasis on the use of technology during lessons and computing is encouraged across the curriculum, including the frequent use of interactive teaching tools.

Each classroom is equipped with a class computer and an interactive whiteboard and all teachers have access to iPads.
The school also has a computing suite that is used regularly by all classes.

All children at Holland Moor begin to use computers as soon as they enter the school and are encouraged to develop skills such as coding, data collection and presentation. Children are regularly taught about the importance of online safety and how crucial it is that we are conscientious and safe users of ICT.

Children have many opportunities to engage with technology during the school year and we offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs that foster an interest in computing.
