Hello and welcome to Class 1-2B.
We are a mixed class of year one and year two children.
There are 27 of us in our class, along with three adults.
Mrs Ball is our class teacher and we are also lucky to have Miss Noon and Miss McLoughlin.
We are a hardworking, kind and friendly class and we strive to do our best in all lessons.
We aim to have lots of fun each and every day.
Our Visit to Skipton Castle
We explored every corner of the medieval castle, which withstood a three-year siege during the Civil War.
We found out about the individuals and events that have shaped the castle from Norman times to the present day.
Our tour guide told us about:
Medieval warfare/castle defence; Building materials and techniques; Medieval and Tudor architecture;
The Castle’s role in the Wars of the Roses and the Civil War; ‘Butcher’ Clifford and his family;
and their links with Royalty; Coats of Arms; The Household and its servants;
Heating/lighting/water supplies; Medieval and Tudor cookery.
Our visit to the Beacon Country Park, as you can see we had lots of fun!
